Product Description
The ZORA OM2 Multimode Dual Core Coupler SC-SC (also known as an adapter) is designed to provide a system of precise alignment of optical fibers for two paired fiber connectors. It is the precision alignment of the two end faces of an optical fiber to maximize the coupling of the light energy output from the transmitting fiber to the receiving fiber.
ZORA's fiber optic couplers allow transmission of a light source between the fibers with minimal insertion loss while maintaining excellent interactivity and insertion and removal life (times).
ANSI/TIA 568 D.3
ISO/IEC 11801

ZORA OM2 Multimode Dual Core Coupler SC-SC FAQ
It’s a fiber optic connector designed for OM2 multimode fiber, featuring duplex (dual-core) SC interfaces to join two fibers for efficient signal transmission.
OM2 supports 850nm/1300nm wavelengths with a typical bandwidth of 500MHz·km (both wavelengths).
SC (Subscriber Connector) uses a square push-pull design, offering stable connections in high-density environments.
Duplex couplers connect two fibers (e.g., Tx/Rx), while simplex supports only one fiber.
Physically yes, but mixing may limit performance due to OM2’s lower bandwidth. Use with matching fiber grades is recommended.
Data centers, LANs, surveillance systems, FTTH, and other short-range multimode networks.
Use lint-free swabs and fiber-specific cleaners to avoid dust/oil contamination.
