The ZORA OM2 Multimode Dual Core Coupler LC-LC (also known as an adapter) is designed to provide a system of precise alignment of optical fibers for two paired fiber connectors. It is the precision alignment of the two end faces of an optical fiber to maximize the coupling of the light energy output from the transmitting fiber to the receiving fiber.

ZORA's fiber optic couplers allow transmission of a light source between the fibers with minimal insertion loss while maintaining excellent interactivity and insertion and removal life (times).

1.What is an OM2 Multimode Duplex LC-LC Coupler?

It‘s a fiber optic connector designed for OM2 multimode fiber, featuring duplex (dual-core) LC interfaces to join two fibers for efficient signal transmission.


2.Is it suitable for high-density cabling?

 

Yes. The compact LC interface is ideal for high-density racks, data centers, or ODF deployments.  


3.Does the duplex coupler require polarity alignment?


Yes. Duplex LC couplers typically use keyed polarity (A/B labels or color codes). Ensure Tx/Rx alignment during installation.  


4. What are the environmental tolerances?

     

Operating temperature: -40℃ to +75℃, with optional PVC/LSZH jackets. Complies with RoHS standards.  


5. Can it be used with single-mode fiber or SC connectors?    

No. OM2 couplers are for multimode only. For SC connections, use LC-SC hybrid patch cords or adapters.
