  • ISO/IEC 11801

ZORA Cat 6 shielded module Features

1Designed according to international standards ISO/IEC11801, ANSI/TIA-568-2.D, with excellent performance and reliability;

2The surface of 8 gold pins inside the module is gold-plated as a whole, which ensures to reach the minimum contact resistance and the longest service life;

3Adopting brass nickel-plated shell to realize 360-degree all-round shielding, which ensures the safety and performance of information transmission;

4The transmission bandwidth can reach 250MHz, supporting Gigabit Ethernet data transmission;

5Special internal and external design, internal gold pin cross structure makes good elasticity, even if the user frequently connects and plugs, can maintain good contact.

ZORA Cat 6 Shielded Module FAQ

1.What is the maximum transmission rate and frequency supported by this module?

The ZORA Cat 6 Shielded Module supports 10 Gbps data rates and 250 MHz frequency bandwidth, suitable for

high-speed networks (e.g., 10GBASE-T) and complex electromagnetic environments.

2.What are the advantages of the shielded design?

The aluminum foil shielding (F/UTP) and metal housing grounding technologies effectively isolate external electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk, ensuring signal integrity, especially in industrial and medical environments with high interference.

3.How to install the ZORA Cat 6 Shielded Module?

Stripping:Use a specialized tool to remove approximately 2.5 cm of cable jacket, preserving the shield.

Wire Ordering:Arrange wire pairs according to T568A or T568B standards, keeping twists intact.

Grounding:Connect the shield to the module’s metal housing and secure with a grounding screw.

Crimping:Use the module’s tool to press wires into IDC terminals for a solid connection.

4. Is this module compatible with PoE (Power over Ethernet)?

Yes, it supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standards, providing up to 30W power over Ethernet for devices like IP cameras and APs.

5.What international standards does the module comply with?

It is certified to ANSI/TIA 568.2-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability requirements.

6.How to test the module’s connectivity?

Use a Fluke network tester to check wire order, impedance, attenuation, and crosstalk, ensuring compliance with Cat 6 standards.

7.Will improper shielding grounding affect performance?

Yes, it may reduce EMI resistance, causing signal attenuation or packet loss. Ensure both ends of the shield are properly grounded.
