ZORA 110-110 Voice Patch Cord FAQ
Core Function: Designed for cross-connecting 110-type voice patch panels (e.g., Krone blocks) in telecom rooms, PBX systems, or voice networks.
Typical Use: Inter-rack patching, legacy telephone system expansion, voice panel redundancy.
Tools: Use 110-specific punch-down tools to ensure full insulation penetration.
Wiring Standard: Follow T568A/B consistently on both ends.
Slack: Leave 5-10cm slack to prevent tension-induced disconnection.
Analog Signals: Optimized for legacy analog telephony (100Ω impedance).
Digital Compatibility: Supports low-speed VoIP (e.g., G.711) but avoid parallel runs with high-speed data cables.
Contact Inspection: Clean 110 contacts to remove oxidation.
Length Limitation: Keep patch cords ≤5m; use patch panels for longer runs.
Shielding: Use F/UTP shielded cords in high-interference areas.
Limitations: Primarily for voice. For low-speed control signals (e.g., RS-485), limit to 10Mbps and ≤20m.
Pair Usage: Dedicate one pair per signal to prevent crosstalk.
Environment: Avoid temperatures >60°C or humidity >90% RH.
Testing: Quarterly continuity and impedance checks with cable testers.
Labeling: Label both ends with heat-resistant tags for traceability.
